About Istituto Fotocromo Italiano
The Istituto Fotocromo Italiano was founded in Florence in 1928 by the engineer Vincenzo Balocchi, a well known amateur photographer and former artistic director of the Fratelli Alinari Company. Until 1980, the Company has printed artistic editions in the old traditional method of photo typeset or collotypes, subsequently with the most modern and sophisticated printing methods. The Istituto Fotocromo Italiano is led by the same family and is now in its third generation.
