Betty Whiteaker began her career at Hallmark with illustrations that reflected her enduring commitment to the creation of art as an inheritance. Today her diverse portfolio ranges from richly rendered oil paintings to delicate watercolors that exhibit her great versatility. She is particularly well known for her endearing juvenile characters and heartwarming holiday illustrations. The effort Betty pus in every artwork has endured throughout her career that spans over 25 years. Her versatile style generates a portfolio of images applicable to a wide variety of product mediums including juvenile bedding, tabletop linens, ceramic giftware, and woven throws. All her paintings display a delicacy of touch, and a wonderful understanding of color. Making to do with what nature provides has always been her way of life.
