Nationally acclaimed American artist, Patrick Reid O’Brien has been creating art since the age of six. As the great great great great grandson of Thomas Ustick Walter, architect of the U.S. Capitol, design and drawing were in his genes. In 2009 O’Brien’s art caught the eye of a close friend of Jimmy Buffett and he was asked to create designs specifically depicting the lyrics of Buffett’s songs for the Margaritaville lifestyle brand. Like a Jimmy Buffett song, O’Brien’s art connects with people and provides a little more happiness in their lives. O’Brien’s “My Town Art” collection reflects destinations that have special meaning to people on a personal level such as; a beach where they grew up, a honeymoon getaway, or even a favorite pet. Warm, colorful and fun are common descriptions of his memorable work. O’Brien’s original work is carried in galleries and stores in 42 states and throughout the Caribbean. He currently resides in Maryland with his wife and four children.
