Best-selling calendar title | Be inspired all year | Printed on high-quality paper | Full-color pages throughout
Taoist symbols, ancient imagery, and the gentle reflection of nature meet and merge in Nicholas Kirsten-Honshin's artwork. The Thich Nhat Hanh wall calendar combines Honshin's graceful paintings with the words of Thich Nhat Hanh, renowned Zen master, peace activist, and author of more than 60 books. Honshin is influenced by the sacred mediational space of the transcendental archetypal symbols of Christianity and Zen and Tibetan Buddhism as well as the shamanistic practices of the world's perennial philosophies. Together with the inspiring words of Thich Nhat Hanh, this contemplative collection will guide you along a more peaceful and mindful path.

Thich Nhat Hanh is a Vietnamese Zen master, poet, peace advocate, and Buddhist monk who has dedicated his life to the practice of mindful living. Born in central Vietnam in 1926, Thich Nhat Hanh witnessed the strife of the Vietnam Conflict and helped to establish “engaged Buddhism,” a balance between meditation and social commitment to helping the refugees. Though he has lived exiled in France for 30 years, thousands have been touched by the spiritual leader’s special gift for living fully in the present moment and his teaching that by doing so one can approach peacefulness in ourselves and world. By doing so, Thich Nhat Hanh has great accomplishments in writing – more than 85 poems, prose, and numerous books – teaching, gardening, and designing. Whatever he does is done so with great zeal and commitment so that it is more an interesting play than toil. As the master teach of our time, Thich Nhat Hanh’s simple but deep understanding of life impresses with his profundity.
