Artist John Sloane shares a cornucopia of paintings celebrating the beauty of the seasons and the joys of traditional country living in his Country Seasons planner. As always, his paintings present an ideal country world as a peaceful refuge where daily cares and stress are a million miles away. Each of the fifty-three exquisitely detailed paintings--none of which has appeared in earlier editions of the planner--provide a quiet space to rest and restore the spirit. Spiral bound with handy pockets inside the front and back linen-textured covers, this calendar features monthly as well as weekly planning pages. This planner is perfect to carry and easily helps to keep track of important dates, contacts, and other events at a glance. Each calendar month is easy to glance at and see what responsibilities you have coming up, so make sure you stay organized through the year! Personalization is easy with different colors for appointments and trips, add stickers or stickie notes for a quick reference, or create your own system of symbols and abbreviations.

More Info

John Sloane wanted to be an artist from the time he was able to hold a pencil. Instead of seeking formal art training, Sloane entered college to pursue a liberal arts degree and studied the works of great American artists and illustrators while developing his skills in painting and composition in his spare time. Shortly after his graduation, he began to obtain freelance commissions that have since developed a loyal clientele of publishers and collectors.

Today, John continues to paint at his farmhouse, Hearts Haven and take long country walks with his wife and their English Setter. “I am always on the lookout for new subjects”, says John. “Familiar scenes can change dramatically with the movement of light and at different times of the year. There is always something new to be seen. I want to create an awareness of the little things that we often take for granted.”
